questions?

questionsWe welcome questions.

We are not content to blindly accept answers that have been handed down for generations. While we value church tradition and find that many traditions bring life when their original intent speaks into our contemporary situation, we also recognize that unexamined tradition can cause us to mindlessly go through the motions (and frankly, some tradition needs to be thrown out completely).

Assuming we have all the answers isn’t helpful either—it’s not helpful to those asking the questions, and it’s often not helpful to those offering answers, as it can breed an arrogance that looks nothing like Jesus. Of course we value seeking answers—that’s why we ask questions in the first place. Yet we’re convinced our source of life isn’t found in the rightness of our beliefs but in the person of Jesus. We’ll cling tightly to Jesus but hold loosely to everything else.

So please, question away!
